For different projects over the years, I have been forced to learn that a deeper knowledge of basic web languages like CSS, HTML, Javascript, and more are necessary to fully integrating your design language into a storefront.
First many years ago I learned some basic modifications to my site index so that I could embed custom tab icons, background patterns, and more.
Last year I sought further knowledge of web development and taught myself how to code interactive and animated elements from scratch.
I enjoy integrating my graphic design sensibilities when working with clients, and always try to fully blend the unique aesthetics of the client’s brand into the design.

Interactive Shopify Liquid Elements
Due to the widespread use of Shopify, I have opted to learn the formatting and logic of its Liquid code language.
This has helped me develop interactive, intelligent elements which are deeply integrated with the client’s internal product data.
Custom Javascript logic can be integrated to create collection-specific visual assets with smooth animations and performant interactivity.
I always make sure to condense and optimize my code to ensure proper load times and performance for the user. I pay close attention to metrics as I write my code to make sure it is not just beautiful but efficient.
